Let us consider two points on the fourth physical dimension--say the points "Jan. 1 2010 AD" and "Jan 1. 2011 AD." However let us simply refer to these points here as "point X" and "point Y." It is of course possible for an individual to relocate herself from X to Y in exactly one year. However, relativistic time dilation effects permit this relocation to occur in a time period that is less than one year.
It could occur, for example, in eight months.
Are X and Y one year apart or are they eight months apart? The answer is that they are both one year apart *and* eight months apart. The physical/spatial distance between X and Y has nothing to do with the actual time that is *elapsing* when one relocates from X to Y.
Temporal passage is an entirely subjective phenomenon. It is steady, relentless, and entirely unaffected by effects of any kind. (Note: relativistic time dilation does not in any way affect this passage).
We will never discover the *logical cause* of temporal passage by examining four-dimensional physical reality. This structure is static, by definition. The articles at my web site explain precisely what this passage *is*, and why it *must* occur:
